Rich has over 40 years of experience enabling innovation to market. He has served as a Fortune 100 Executive, Cornell CleanTech Startup CEO/COO, NYSERDA and Launch NY EIR, NYSERDA Innovation Advisor, and Grow NY Mentor. He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering, a master’s in Business-Engineering, and is both an inventor and investor with multiple technology patents.
Rich’s experience includes serving as Kodak’s R&D Director for the $1B Traditional Consumer Businesses. While at Kodak, he developed and ran a successful golf business in NY. He also led the Cornell technology-based LiB CleanTech startup (NOHMs Technologies Inc.) and currently serves as a NYSERDA and Launch NY Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
He is a mentor for the Grow NY Food and Ag competition, an adjunct at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NY), and a mentor at Davidson College Hurt Hub (NC). Rich supports various cohorts, including the Joules Accelerator (NC), Flywheel Co-working startup space (NC), Hatch Bridge Incubator (GA), Next Corps (NY),and Second Muse (NY).
Rich holds an MS degree from Clarkson University in Manufacturing Business Systems and BS degrees from SUNY Buffalo in both Electrical and Industrial Engineering.
Recently relocated to GA from NY, Rich is the father of two adult sons, an avid photographer, and enjoys a variety of activities, including cycling, running, weight training, hiking, skiing, golf, theater, and extensive travel.
Rich’s altruistic nature includes supporting individuals with disabilities at Kodak, serving as a handicap ski instructor, and participating in numerous volunteer events supporting the Leukemia Society, the American Diabetes Association, Heritage Christian Services, and the Rochester Open Door Mission.
